STORY ABOUT MY FRIDAY AT HOME

On a beautiful Friday morning which is 14 January 2022 corresponding to Jamadil’akhir. I woke up at 6:30 in the morning, woken up by a mother who was responsible for me performing the obligatory dawn prayers. I took a towel, then went to the toilet to clean myself. But I did not take a shower at down because it was very cold for me at that time, I would take a shower at 9 a.m after having breakfast.

After finishing the dawn prayers, I took a moment to chat with my mother in the bedroom just to take a blessing on a beautiful day. Then after finishing talking to my mother. I left the bedroom to go to the kitchen to take some breakfast in the morning was that I just asked my mom to make nescafe water for the two of us. While my father asked for my mother to make hot tea’o water for him.

Finished taking breakfast, my mother and my father were getting ready to make cakes because my parents were as local cake entrepreneurs namely “bahulu” and “pulut manis”. My parents were in business every day starting at 9:00 a.m until 12:00 noon. Of course, on this Friday school holiday I will help both my parents do homework to ease their burden such as washing the waist, washing clothes, washing cake containers and so on.

Moreover, right now my house is being upgraded, so I was asked by my mom to tidy up little by little with my brothers. I was instructed to wash various types of glasses and cups while my brother was assingned to paint the house. At 11:30 in the morning, my mother had finished making the cake, just taking some time to pack at the cake-making place.

Meanwhile, my father asked for my help to lift the bahulu basket to put in the cart to be sent to my family’s business shop as well, namely my uncle at the Akok Padang Enggang shop as well as my distant relative’s shop in Akok Salor. If the reader has ever eaten or bought this akok cake in the two stores I mentioned, surely the reader knows how it tastes, if the reader has never tasted the akok cake by my large family enterprise. I suggest that readers try to taste it, they will definitely not regret it, in fact, readers will meet and see bahulu and pulut manis or Kelantanese better known as “nasi manis” in these two akok shops of my family.

I helped my mom in the kitchen to prepare lunch. I was asked by my mother to make “budu” and prepare “ulaman”. After finishing cooking in the kitchen we went to prepare for the midday prayers while waiting for my father came home and brothers to return from the mosque after Friday prayers. A few minutes later my father came home and we would eat together. I and my mother prepare a place to eat to speed up the time hehe.

At 3:00 p.m I take time to relax like watching television or playing social media. Until the time od Asr and the end of Asr prayers. At 5:00 p.m I immediately took the hijab and went to the back of the house to hang out and take a breather with the family. This is because, in the back of my house there is a table for us to relax. With that, I went to prepare something for dinner or afternoon tea. After that, I fried potato chips and ate with my family and some neighbors who joined us.

After the sun goes down, that is, the night falls. I take some time after Maghrib prayers to worship like reciting with my brother. After finishing until Isyak time I went down and went to the living room to watch television while eating a light meal. I watched the English telemovie titled “Mommy’s Little Princess” and “The Wrong Mommy” on channel 703. After finishing watching television, at 12:00 a.m, I once again cleaned and prepared myself and tidied up a place for me to rest my eyes with permission by Allah SWT.
